I can confirm. That is basically what I did for my father-in-law. The laptop is quite ancient by now (more than 10 years old) but still good enough for running current version of Ubuntu.
For context, the US once prevented that a German company AIXTRON was sold to a Chinese investor in 2016 (perhaps for good reasons). To me it would sound like a good deal for the Netherlands and Luxembourg/Germany if Netherlands would uses SUSE and the Luxembourg/Germany would step in to keep in in the EU.
Isn't it odd how Germany needed the US to stop them from committing a(nother) suicidal mistake regarding their industry sovereignty?
I wonder, is anyone left in the German government now (that isn't a paid lobbyist) that is even remotely interested on covering their industry sovereignty?
Every so often I hear about new footguns Germany used on itself.
A lot of parental control systems stop working when they turn 13 so you have a system that works fine and then suddenly it stops working. I know a lot of parents who have complained about this.
Interestingly, one of their AI filters is actually called "Super Moon":
4.14.3 Camera Image Optimization
The camera image optimization AI algorithm is mainly used in the following camera features: Super Moon, AI Camera, Document Mode, Front Portrait Mode with Background Blurring, and Beautify.
I am wondering if the AI enhancement should be opt-in rather than the default and saving the original as well. Even if you want AI enhancement, future models are likely to be better.
Julia is actually quite nice for this. If you prefer a python-like approach consider Triton from openai, numba (https://numba.pydata.org/) or CuTe DSL from Nvidia.
