Yes I was totally confused as that's not what I understood by localhost

The problem is that it's a fundamentally stupid idea

It doesn't matter. They're the same thing

Generally x86_64 is more commonly used

Why are you using ffmpeg under wsl?

What's the point of this question? It doesn't matter.

The entire point of wsl is to be able to run code compiled for Linux on Windows.

ffmpeg underpins so many things these days. It could be used to extract frames in a PHP based website, convert something to a gif, or a demux an mkv. You may as well be asking me why I'm using a computer.

I've never done it despite being fully bald by age 25, as going back into work with a head of hair would cause more conversation about it than being bald ever has for me

You shouldn't bother with any other opinion than your own on these matters, it's not healthy, they don't live your life.

That being said, I also started balding in spots very young and I couldn't care less fixing it.

Just to add to the confusion, that's metric tonnes, so it should be "tonnes" or "metric tons", but not "tons"

Meh, a metric ton is 0.9 of a US ton, well within the error bars for this sort of thing.

I disagree, it's cheap for an apple laptop but the chuwi is still half the price for double the RAM and storage

If you're an in emergency situation, then "probably" safer is better than nothing

Sure.

What about non emergency situations such as, say, an objectional (to some) device name on a network?

I can't help but wonder would any of this happened had the device been named "Bomb" in Farsi using unicode.

Il nome della rosa - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Name_of_the_Rose

It's only an objectionable device name once you know it's safe. When you're on a plane, you have to err on the side of caution

If the story had been "Bomb detonated on plane after bluetooth name sparks alert" then it would've been more than just objectionable

But it wasn't, it was the far more common and explainable case, seen near daily, of an edgy device name on a fitbit watch.

The Treachery of Images (and names) dates back to 1929; Ceci n'est pas une pipe bomb.

I doubt anyone will be doing that as this decompilation exists and ports include the improvements from the HD version

Yes in theory if you decompile a game then it should compile back to the original platform and generate the exactly same ROM

You'd then have to modify the source code to port it to other platforms
