Hi Peter thanks for doing this again.I am Mexican, I have been working remotely for a US company since December 1 2020 but hired through through the Mexican office.

My question is: is it possible to get a TN visa without a college degree? I need it because I need to move to the US when lock down ends.

It is but the TN occupations for those without a degree are very limited. Do you have any tertiary education and what do you do for the company? You also might qualify for an L-1 intracompany transferee visa once you have been employed by the Mexican company for one year.

The job I am doing now for this company is Software Engineer, I have a contract with them for a salary of ~120K usd per year but for that I need to be in the US, for now I have a contract with their Mexican office.

For my specific case I have completed my college courses but my college is very slow and it still will take me around 1 year to do all the paperwork, I only have "carta de pasante" now but not the degree. Is the "carta de pasante" worth anything to get the TN Visa or only the degree?

In my experience, only the actual degree will be accepted.

I got a job at Google (mountain view office) and I start this November working remotely but I still don't have my university degree. I will be working from Mexico at least until July 2021. What are my visa options? I already got an offer and signed the contract.

I already completed all my university courses but it takes at least 1 year and a half to get the degree and I have been working as a software engineer in Mexico for 1 year. (3 if you count freelancing).

I'm no expert, but I bet Google has a whole office dedicated to helping you out?

You should contact the appropriate Google department. They will definitely guide you.

Hello, I just got informed that I passed the interviews at google and got accepted by the hiring committee. I am a Mexican and I went to college and passed all my courses but I don't have my title yet , it might take a year or 2 to do the paperwork to get my college degree.

The recruiter told me I will start working remotely and then after covid move to the us, what are my options? I have been working as a software engineer in Mexico for two years. I know the TN visa from nafta may be an option for me but I am not very informed, could you help me?

Google should have its own legal department that can help you. I would ask your recruiter to connect you to them.
