Why is it hard to believe that a super intelligent alien (inhuman) AI would consider humans more than a nuisance after it gains control of it's environment via robotic extensions of its will? has any species shown real compassion for other species on the whole and not seen them as competition for resources from a survival of the fittest perspective? why would the AI be a moral being in the sense of some of the better members of our species? The trillionaires certainly aren't and they'll be the ones deciding it's core software and principals.
and why would a superintelligence (or the trillionaires controlling it) want to cure cancer for the populace rather than just the ruling elite? I just don't think they are making altruism a core feature in the "conscience" of the upcoming superintelligence if the singularity (exponential recursive self-improvement) happens.
I've worn one, you forget it's there fairly quickly. It really isn't a big deal. I wore it for a month (2 of them @ 2weeks each) and it wasn't a big deal at all. Ijust wanted to watch how my eating affected my glucose in almost real time.
I don't think prosecutors generally are very motivated to pursue tiny misdemeanor fines unless they have slam dunk evidence.
As far as I can tell, the most likely charges for the garbage bag strategy where I'm located would be a maximum $500 fine, which is too low for most people to even bother with a lawyer.
If they wanted any jail time, they would have to try to frame it as obstruction of justice, which is a stretch and would be difficult to get to stick with a jury.
Sounds like someone who's never had to hire a lawyer before. They vary in cost and quality, and there's not a 1:1 correlation between the two. There's also many different areas, eg real estate vs corporate vs labor vs immigration vs criminal.
well hopefully this snowballs and most public facing cameras other than private ones by people and businesses go extinct (state run cameras). We don't need to be recording every citizen's movement "just in case" . Society got along for thousands of years without it, and the potential for ever increasing tendency toward authoritarian regimes points to such surveillance as a terrible mistake in any society striving for a democracy.
Sometimes the only way is civil disobedience to get the point across to paid off politicians and ones that overly friendly to sacrificing our rights to may the cops happy.
