A great time-saver, especially for noobs who want to take NativeScript for a spin without spending too much time on setting up their NativeScript dev environment.
Great idea with #Startup, guys! An insecure HTTP address is a concern though, which gave me a bit of a pause --- the developer in me speaks here --- although it's great a TypeForm page is offered at the bottom of the "Apply" panel (except it's not easy to notice; maybe a bigger font or highlight color will do the trick)... I believe an HTTPS-hosted page will do wonders, guys! :)
Ezku, very interesting indeed. Your answer actually got me really interested in Supersonic and will be starting to evaluate it for a future project vis-a-vis the Ionic Framework itself, plus Angular Material and Kendo UI.
One more thing, Kendo UI does give us the ability to include only those modules that our apps need (package customization), plus it's AMD-compatible. Does Supersonic provide customization and AMD-compatibility as well?
David, thanks a bundle for making your book available for free online, a decision so unselfish and so revealing of who you are and how much you love Meteor.
We're a small dev shop currently researching and evaluating Meteor for an in-house HTML5/PhoneGap hybrid mobile app. What we haven't found yet is a definitive, best-practice article or guide on how to "Meteor-enable" or integrate Meteor with the front-end Javascript UI frameworks we use or plan to use (DevExpress DevExtreme, Kendo UI, Polymer, Google's Web Starter Kit).
We're thinking that there must be a clear, definitive "right way" to get these frameworks work smoothly with Meteor. We haven't found such a resource yet to guide us through, and we're still looking.
What a great addition to the Meteor ecosystem! Just one piece of feedback if I may: I looked at your pricing, realizing beforehand that a great majority of your target market will most likely have to come from individuals, small development shops or startups.
I was looking at your "Startup" plan features and pricing, and was wondering if you may want to reconsider this package. I read that one of the most important key performance metrics of an SaaS product (like Kadira) is "churn". I believe you can attract MORE customers and keep them if your "Startup" plan is packaged and priced attractively.
I want you guys to succeed, so here's my two-cents' worth or unsolicited advice for the Startup Package:
1. Offer Data Retention for 1 month (4 weeks)
2. Set the Price at $9.95 per month per host (remember, a customer will most likely have more than one host over the long-term if you can keep this customer)
This packaging/pricing also helps enhance the entire Meteor ecosystem. You also help small developers like us be better Meteor developers.
(As for the "Pro" package, have you thought about renaming it (perhaps "Enterprise")? To me, "Pro" means an individual developer.
Thanks, Arunoda, for another great contribution to the burgeoning Meteor ecosystem.
