Thank you for the detailed suggestion. I use LittleSnitch. pi-hole previously, I must take another look. Did you catch LG spying posts?

FYI:

LittleSnitch resolves DNS queries (i.e. it determines the IP address) before you have clicked ALLOW/DENY; so even if you DENY the host['s IP] connection, your DNS resolver has already seen the query.

Also, LittleSnitch does not block `security.apple.com` queries, which occur before this software has even loaded.

After last month's GamersNexus exposé, I went back and watched Citizen Four [0]: Ed says it plain and simply in this 2014 documentary, "you don't even need to be a high value target, anything that can listen WILL."

>>"Saying [if you have nothing to hide, then...] is like saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say!" –Edward Snowden

[0] documentary about Snowden revelations; also see his book Permanent Record [1]

side note: I worked in data centers during the Snowden leaks, and the cover stories were always incredible ("the tech just doesn't exist to do that yet" is agency legalese, folks)...

>...trying to act superior in a condescending way...

Strange. I wonder why? Have you adjusted 'roles', added 'ask clarifying questions'? This is most peculiar.

>do try it

Thank you, I might. I never have, the launch was such a mess, I've never looked back and fastidiously turn it all off.

What's changed, for you to say it now works? And what do you successfully and regularly do with it?

> What's changed, for you to say it now works?

There's a hint in the submission you're replying under. Much of it runs on a 20gb local model now. Completely new system.

>...only Signal completely opts out of iCloud...

There is an iCloud option on Signal. It's on by default - is that Apple or Signal's doing? - but yes, iCloud can be turned off and Signal have their own e2e backup, if you want to back up. Also a paid option.

> "...the bare minimum of ethics..."

That is a great phrase.

Building the World's First Post-Quantum Zero-Knowledge Social Network: A Phased Migration Story - is the full title. I've followed this project with interest. MOSSLET. Notably, mentions of Mosslet on HackerNews are scant. I post in case of interest or curiosity to the open source privacy dev boffins here.

M-Code is a new encrypted signal that is not fully operational yet. OCX was supposed to enable it.

GPS has always had the P(Y) code, which is an encrypted signal, at a higher chip rate than the C/A code that has been broadcast on L1 forever. The P(Y) code has its own interesting history of (semi-)codeless processing. If the US military is lucky, the history books will close on that by 2030: https://www.gps.gov/codelesssemi-codeless-gps-access-commitm... . (Currently, 21 GPS satellites broadcast L5.)

The video, is it there still? I don't see it on your website.

Yes, it’s the first big image below the intro text on the website. You may need to wait a moment for it to auto-play. It is a self-served video file, no YT embed.

Thank you. Strange, I'm not seeing any video under the first main text or anywhere on the website. After the main text I see "On your iPhone" with 2 screenshots immediately below and then 1 underneath those. Then the rest, but no video.

If a name and the address associated 'votes', how long before that initial vote is noted in the system? I'm assuming a situation in which there's fake slips out there, or a subsequent digital vote comes in. When is the discrepancy flagged?
