There is a land war in Europe for the first time in generations. The only reason you can say that big things aren't happening is because you're lucky enough to live where they're happening.

Buddy, climate change alone is heavily hitting Europe, changing her landscape. Not to mention economic and political trouble brewing. Not sure where OP is from, but if the US attacks Europe OP may not be able to travel there at all.

That's how the system or browser should be configured. Secure by default and any insecurity must be an opt-in. But Google won't do it because their websites are JS heavy monster trucks and millions of websites run their tracking scripts which require JIT enabled by default for optimal page load.
