All those countries are essentially American vassals. No shade to them, just stating the reality, and not really sure why we need to keep pretending. There's no shame in that. It's often the smartest move to join forces with the big guy in the block!

You need to travel more.

Same things said about a lot of things. Tech works. Human ingenuity works.

Too fast. The space shuttle used to reenter sometimes over us in California. I remember in elementary school the entire building shook, and that was just one building! The amount of energy being dissipated is literally astronomical! If you've never experienced the sonic boom of reentry it is something to marvel at. It literally feels like an earthquake!

The nice thing about a public space program is everyone can share in its success!

As I've said before. This is a huge achievement. And also is the most effective political propaganda ever. Bravo to everyone involved .

This is not sarcastic. This is very much meant. I love that America does this. We still get to evoke an awe which previous empires awesome as they may be, could never match. American superlatives are amazing. God bless America

Only someone who's never had to deal with it could pine for it. No thank you. There are some lessons to learn but it's a shit sandwich.

Because we have decided that electrical generation tech ended once China became better at it.

Instead of dealing with that like adults we are throwing a fit instead

I'm learning to play the accordion

I ended up giving up on it because my right shoulder is damaged from rheumatoid arthritis. Go where I could not, anon291. May your reeds be clean and your bellows free of mildew.

"A gentleman is someone who can play the accordion, but doesn't"

(3) is simply a lie spread by engineers who have no other context. I manage some real estate (mid-term rentals) and everyone I know has switched over to AI robo-handlers to do the contact at this point. It's almost a passive investment at this point. Some can even handle interfacing with contractors and service requests for you. Revolutionized the field in my opinion.

It's insane to me that microsoft licensing for large companies and mission-critical systems operators doesn't include a stripped down version of windows that really just provides the NT kernel and window system. Why on earth is MS telemetry running in space LOL

They likely can't separate that with their spaghetti code.
