Fullstack/product engineer, mostly working with TypeScript and Python. I'm especially interested in developer tools, AI/agent infrastructure and small teams with a lot of ownership.

I maintain AutoForm, an open-source TypeScript library with 3.5k+ GitHub stars and 50k+ weekly npm downloads. I also built a TikTok Year in Review product that handled ~10M visits in one month, and currently work on an AI agent product using TypeScript/Python, MCP, subagents and human-in-the-loop workflows.

I feel these Claude-written blog articles always have such a weird speech to them, not that fun to read

Yeah, it manages to feel terse and yet overly-verbose all at once. Human language without human taste. And like most AI-generated content once you've suffered through a few of these "articles" they all start to look the same... because they are.

From CloudFlare's side (https://blog.cloudflare.com/deno-joins-cloudflare/) is seems celld was the main point of this - letting the Deno team focus on making workerd self-hosting easier.

I feel it leaves a bitter flavor how Ryan Dahl pushed so hard for Deno and Deno Deploy for years, just to let them die within 1 year and 6 months respectively. Thankfully I don't have any codebases that heavily use Deno features, otherwise this would be a steep curve now.

Don’t have a strong opinion on any of this, but it’s actually super normal for anyone who helps run a business to push hard and try to grow it.

Things don’t always shake out as you plan

Investors are a helluva drug

Yeah they just made me migrate my blog to their new cloud platform four months ago.

That's a pretty uncharitable take. It literally only exists because of him, he pushed hard for it for years, and now he's decided not to anymore it leaves a bitter taste? What do you want him to do?

Meh, those types of large scale migrations are just a very short prompt nowadays.

specially deno to bun

What's with the downvotes? Do people doubt that this type of work is something AI is particularly good at? Or is it just resentment against the resulting fact that making the right architectural decisions isn't as important as it was?

There’s a separate „Who wants to be hired“ thread for this

got it

Especially with „ sales conversion probability“ it just doesn’t sound universal to other issues - there’s tons of unique models for specific use cases

Interesting that the Under Attack Mode wasn’t used at all here. I understand not wanting to break APIs but I feel temporarily challenging non-API usage could have at least helped without impacting users too much?

I talked about that directly in the post. We didn't want to just challenge everyone. We use JS challenges but we try to use them sparingly. The rest of the ops team and I were fighting to stay up but it never got so bad that it was a choice between complete outage and using the Under Attack mode.

> without impacting users too much?

You mean essentially locking out users with non-default Chrome configuration.

Next add realistic signal delay so you have to wait a day to get the result

AFAIK Ladybird is separated from SerenityOS completely now (https://hackaday.com/2024/07/02/fork-ladybird-browser-and-se...) so the Ladybird contributors can fully focus on it
