Can you expand on this? Isn't all DNS for domain names?

They mean it's authoritative DNS, not a resolver. The two are completely different services. Authoritative DNS is the side that serves the records for your website, resolver is the part that follows the tree of authoritative servers on behalf of the client.

Not in my experience. I have only flown international ten times or so in the past 20yrs but I have never seen that when returning to Aus.

Probably depends on where the plane is coming from. Source: me who just returned from Europe last week, no spraying. And have traveled internationally several times in the last few years and also no spraying.

Used to see someone wandering down the aisles with spray cans on arrival - but not on the last several trips to Oz.

I was interested in this because it happened the last time I returned to NZ, but I hadn't seen it before. There are several approved methods and it depends on the airline. The method that doesn't involve spraying with you onboard is more expensive so tends to be used by budget airlines, and also airlines who might rotate their planes and crew around routes more often because it is a treatment that lasts for weeks.

Which few bad clicks would put a fedora install in that state?

If you do have permissions to install packages you can end up with a system in messed up state pretty easily.

1 - Enable wrong ROMFusion because you need these damn video codecs for VLC. I have like 20 years of Linux experience and I still messe up Fedora in 2025 trying to make video work.

2 - Just forget that big update going in background and shutdown system when not appropriate. Boom. On Windows its just much harder to accidentally do it.

I run my workstation PC with a dedicated GPU in a rack in the shed. I use Sunshine on the workstation and Moonlight on the client to access it. I can game like that, use blender for modelling, anything that needs more juice than my old laptop. It feels local. Even over WiFi I quite often forget I am on a remote machine. Moonlight runs on pretty much anything and everything too.

I don't use Plex anymore, but not long before I cancelled my account they starting charging to access someone's library that had been shared with you if the sharing party did not have Plex pass, or something to that effect.
