Regarding the REPL, they actually merged a PR with support for interactive/debug mode. https://github.com/crystal-lang/crystal/pull/11159. There is an accompanying blog post here https://crystal-lang.org/2021/12/29/crystal-i.html. I haven't used it myself, just thought I'd let you know.

then run the broot command and it will prompt you to update your .bashrc or .zshrc file

The image rotator on the frontpage looks really cool, however on my screen(1280x800) it doesn't add any clarity on what the app does. The images are way too small.

The author open sourced most of the code. You can find it here http://github.com/etexteditor/e you should be able to compile a version that works with linux.

Oh wow, thanks, wasn't aware of this. You say "most of the code" - do you know what's missing?
