Normally, I'd say he'd be pissed as hell but given his recent abnormal behavior, it's hard to tell. I'm more interested in seeing the person who lost this prototype's reaction.

If he's honorable, he'll fall on his own sword for the Dear Leader.

I created an appointment system and all its related subsystems from scratch in 7 days. The online part is on passport.com.ph

I've been playing it on my 360 and if you could forgive some of the seemingly simple things that Ezio can't do, it's a pretty good game. I like the fact that money isn't hard to come by if you focus on upgrading the villa early.

To have some semblance of control over my Google results.

You'll have to block people who are following you first

No, if you don't have a public profile, then no-one will be following you.

I didn't have a public profile but Google still automatically added people who were following me. I had to block them one-by-one.

I always hated the way svn left its .svn cruft all over the place. Glad to see they're trying to get away from it with version 1.7 but it's the same kind of glad as seeing someone try to make an iPod killer.

DNS propagation doesn't have to be that long if you set the TTL for your records to be the lowest your nameserver will allow.

Your problem is severely limited by your budget given that at your level, redundancy will at least double your hosting bill. If your site is that important, I think you should spend a bit more on hosting.

Supplies? Food? Shelter? I'm guessing everything else except for the wages of the volunteers since, they are volunteers.

I wouldn't go as far as throwing an exception. A notice maybe.

Asking a function that formats a number and that is defined that way in the documentation to format a string is a programming mistake. As the discussion clearly states, it's a minor change in application code that would make it both clearer and more robust.

I would go as far as recommend using a USB shock device to issue a warning to the programmer every times a mistake like this is made. ;-)

This is one of the great examples of the difference between a graphic designer that charges $200 per hour and your friend's cousin who can do the entire project for $20.

What's the benefit to me as the user though? It's neat, but does it have any actual effect on anything?

There might be none but that's not really the point now, is it? It's all about the quality of work.
