Also, if using winget, it will try to install the MSIX from the msstore if you don’t specify the source and/or installer. To make sure you install the msi, you want to use ‘winget install --id Microsoft.PowerShell --installer-type wix —source winget’. The MSIX will be called PowerShell7 in winget and the msi will be called PowerShell7-x64 and they will coexist without warning until it becomes an issue for you.

Its good to hate bash specifically. The language is so terrible, low on standards, bad discovery. The only good thing about bash is it is pre installed. Its not far away from batch (.bat).
