That'd be great CEO's, however.

No but it's less likely to pick a number <10 than >50.

So what? It's more likely to pick a number <10 than a number between 42 and 44.

Seems that a bunch of services are offline or not working. I noticed because my virtual credit card waa declined. As well the app lacks a bunch of functionality.

Australia is great! German posting from down under...

That's a big ask for trust. It illustrates nicely why electronic voting is a bad idea.

How is guaranteed that the open source code runs on the voting and tallying computers? How can citizens verify this?

It was confirmed that it was not the same software that they provided the source for back in the day: https://cybersec.ee/2018/02/20/reproducing-vote-verification...

Everyone with half a brain should know that this is completely compromised. Nobody wanting to run fair elections would support electronic voting.

If we are talking about the Berlin elections there had to be great public pressure for the election being repeated. Officials denied any impact on the final result. Afair courts had to be involved. Pretty shameful. The whole thing didn't further my trust in German democracy.

Yea I was talking about those.

It definitely didn’t help with trust even though I think German democracy is still mostly fine and something worth fighting for- but I guess that’s a different topic

That would make coercion pretty easy.

You don't need a laser but a monochromatic point source. Modern LEDs work quite well.

Depth of reflection holograms depends on the quality of the reference beam. A divergent one gives limited depth but a parallel or convergent one would give much more. But this is much more difficult to achieve.

That's very unusual for 20 years ago. I remember this from my childhood, 60 years ago, where this was common. But even in the 90s that had stopped almost completely.

I'm guessing you don't know many roofers. I've watched roofers crush tall boys at 6AM more times than I can count.

Roofing's a helluva job. If I was a roofer, you'd damn well believe I'd have a beer+ before work.

People seek pain management where they can get it, and alcohol isn't the worst.

You misspelled meth. Roofers do meth. Outdoor trades do uppers. Indoor trades smoke weed. Everyone smokes cigarettes. Except the electricians, they smoke pole. Everyone knows that.

Lol. I knew a lot of framers who drank (lunch) and smoked (always) pretty heavily.

Maybe we live in different parts of the country but in bavaria it’s completely fine and common to have a beer at lunch, both blue and white collar workers
