This doesn’t scale at all for some problems where a specific algorithm is needed (graph problems for instance).

“do” imply “can”, but “can” do not imply “do”.

I recognize myself in the first paragraph (except being totally exhausted to the point having to sleep). And I started working as a SWE 4 years ago (so full dopamine brainrot access). Maybe it is because I have a reasonable usage of LLMs?

You forgot the “autonomous” part of the definition.

Excel absolutely contains autonomous behavior. And current AI systems still require humans all over the place.

To be honest, I wonder if anyone has ever looked at how many jobs MSFT Excel has actually killed? That's an interesting thought.

I have a near total opposite view as a cyclist in France. Buses are extremely dangerous in cities, and are way louder than cars.

If AI coding agents follow the same path then any software engineer over 25yo can peacefully continue working for 30 years until the tech is capable. The comparison is futile…

N = 1. The company I’m working for, (a hundred employees, EU), we basically build projects on data science, ML, optimization, operational research and such for many industries (transportation, manufacturing, finance, engineering, etc). We are basically the first to know about the latest advances in AI and we have internal optional workshops on LLM assisted development. And yet nobody is pressured to use these tools. At most we are incentivized to at least try these tools.

I’m almost sure that you need some password or biometrics to reset Apple ID, change Find My or change biometrics. Moreover if you don’t trust FaceID you can easily lock it (to ask for password instead of biometrics) when needed.

Not possible on modern iPhones.

Pegasus installed via zero click 0 day exploit.

Completely owned.

Nobody is wasting nation-state exploits to launder stolen phones.

The whole point of the debate is that the fetus has no choice during an absorption, not some “moral” ground that you are imposing to someone else.

The fetus is inside of an adult human with a life they’re living. The decision is theirs to make, nobody else should have input, but unfortunately that isn’t the case in some places.

Someone having an abortion have zero effect on a person who is against abortion but has never met them. The anti-abortion person should mind their own business.

I don’t believe in god and think religion is generally harmful but I don’t go around campaigning to eliminate religious freedoms. I don’t tell religious people I think their beliefs are ridiculous, I keep it to myself.

Abortion wasn’t even an issue in the US until Atwater->Reagan realized there were a bunch of religious people they could manipulate into voting for the GOP by making abortion a wedge issue.

That is unfortunate, but the opposing view entitles a fetus to use of another persons body. This is something I am not entitled to, even if a blood transfusion, marrow transplant, or organ donation would save my life with certainty.
