I think most folks are actually in the middle and generally agree. Anyone who thinks one of the us political parties is completely innocent is lying, either to you or themselves.
That being said, I think it's worth noticing if one party does more bad things than the other and I also think speaking up with your values is worth it and maybe even a duty we owe the people who built this country before us.
Either way, your first responsibility is your own mental health so you have full support from this internet stranger.

SS was not "raided" . Whatever made you think that is surely contributing to human misery. It's just running out because it's always been a scheme where the young pay the old and we have fewer young than old. The people getting SS payments, themselves paid into it! It's not any sort of raid, corruption, evil...
And it's actually fairly easy to fix if we raise the social security income tax cap. Next year it's $192,300. Raising that cap significantly (or even eliminating it) would extend solvency for quite a while longer.
It's silly or misleading to imply nothing has changed in this administration compared to the last one with regard to enforcement of laws and regulations. So many laws changed or ignored and regulatory agencies gutted, dropped, or silenced. The very next link on hn after this article for me is about the cftc being told not to investigate certain oil deals.

"Oh, please" and "it's just so obvious." If it's so clear, you should have less trouble explaining it than other things. And that doesn't mean explaining the bad things that your enemies do in power, but explaining how your friends weren't doing those things and actively ending them when they were in power.
Clinton did the massive deregulation that defined this century. Obama didn't prosecute anyone for 2008 financial crimes*, let Citigroup pick his cabinet, bailed out the banks, and flooded the stock market with free cash. Biden is literally the Delaware credit card prevent student loans from being discharged in bankruptcy guy, he had great people in Kanter, Khan and Chopra and undermined and ignored them consistently while breaking a railroad strike.
All absolute dirtbags who did what Republicans could have never gotten away with, because partisans who pretend to care fall asleep when Democrats are in power. A lot of consulting firms and nonprofits get flooded with state cash when Democrats are in power, and don't when Republicans are in power (and vice versa.) Patronage is more powerful than ethics when it comes to the middle class.

This form of laissez faire capitalism looks equally prominent in Europe at the moment. The problem seems not tied to any particular administration, but rather a culture of the Neo-liberal ideology which is pervasive across the entire capital and the governing classes of the western world (probably even wider).
I think the point is that it is an acquihire in purpose (want to team, not the assets) but would be blocked by the government so they did a thing that looks a LOT like an acquisition (paid off the shareholders, took the team) without technically being one specifically in order to avoid regulation. It's an "aquihire" in everything except name and the issue is that it was done in order to get around consumer protection laws. Google got what they wanted. The investors got what they wanted. The people got screwed.

Fair enough, but that's a pretty shaky foundation upon which to build the law.
In relation to banned entitlement, they talk about being logged in or anonymous, which are technical details pertaining to the ability to enforce, as though the technical enforcement details are what create a ban.
If I ban you from my house and you show up in disguise, you may be able to get in, but you are still not entitled to be there.
This only makes any sense if youre happy dropping most folks from higher education.
You want adults to be very disciplined and rational. That sounds great but are most of the adults in your own life experience at this level? They certainly aren't for me (I'm not sure I am at this level).
If I recall correctly, there was a mandatory ENGR 101 class that all of the different engineering fields had to take at my school, and on the first day, the lecturer said somewhere around half (might've been more, might've been fewer, I don't remember anymore) of the students in the hall were not going to complete the degree. So yeah, most folks dropping sounds about right.
And it's not even about discipline; it's lying. If you're not going to do the work, just don't do the work. Don't turn it in. Pretty much every syllabus ever says that turning in work you did not do is grounds for failing the class and possibly expulsion.
And why would we want to pass these people through? Then when they come interview with someone like me, I'm still going to find out within like a minute of talking to them that they didn't actually learn anything, and they won't get hired. Do I want to work with somebody incompetent? No. Do I want to work with somebody dishonest? Definitely no. Those both make my job more difficult to have around. So then they end up with a bunch of debt complaining about how they don't have a job.
