This was posted a few months ago. I asked a question then, that I will ask now. How much money does Spotify have to pay the record label? Usually the artist gets most of their money taken by the label.

See here: http://www.salon.com/2000/06/14/love_7/ and here: http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20100712/23482610186.shtml

Record company math is very similar to movie studio math. Both systems are designed to make people very rich, just not the ones actually doing any of the work.

I have seen posts like this from time to time. My question is this; Is this what the record company pays you or the service?

My guess is that this is the cut after the record company gets theirs.

I was more interested in the site itself. As you scrolled to a new article, it changed the URL. Then if you visited that URL in a new tab, it was the new top of the page.

So pick something simple; say a log in page, a content page, and maybe an admin screen. Something that would take about a day by yourself. Then make it with your three friends. Take the time to plan out who does what and learn to work together. This simple task can save you hours of planning on the day of.

EDIT: I mean for you to do this task before the hackathon.

Ya, we discussed the idea ahead of time but haven't gone into too much detail yet as to who is going to do what. Maybe we will meet tomorrow to clarify things before the actual event. Thanks for the tip!
