They are supported (source: beta tested it internally). We use this markdown feature for some internal workflows where github flavor markdown syntax is used. We've tested this works and ourselves rely on it as well as some other markdown extensions.
Thanks for this. Sadly, but not surprisingly, it is broken with the following error: "A system error has occurred and we are not able to process your request. Please try again later."
In my experience, the most common safety practice on chairlift (poles) is a double-nut. It's very common to see all through North America - no washer, just two nuts stacked.
I've never inspected them to see if they have indicators painted on, etc. - one would assume they should ...
I've also noticed that the nuts go on top. I've always wondered if this was so it was completely obvious if a bolt dropped out (i.e. sunlight coming through the hole).
Can the FCC revoke the major mobile operators' spectrum licenses if they fail to verify Caller ID records? I know that won't help with land-lines and VoIP but I imagine it would take away the bulk of the incentive for the perpetrators.
They could revoke the land line companies authorizations too.
The problem is it's a complex issue affecting millions if not billions of what is now legacy phone equipment that would have to probably be replaced. And for land lines that's a dying market - no one in their right mind would want to modernize infrastructure that's more than likely on it's way out. Might be able to get cell phone providers attention far easier.
Both groups have significant lobbying presences, I'm sure, so it will continue to be a pitched battle - but if it's ever going to be a traceable/solvable problem the fundamental protocols used between phone exchanges are going to have to be beefed up with spoofing in mind. Before VOIP and the number porting rules others have referenced in this thread it was nigh impossible to spoof numbers because each phone company owned their own block and that was that. Now any number can be held by any phone provider - the horse is out of the barn :p
Agreed. It was pompously Abrahamic, evidently as much for political show as a heart-felt expression of wonder. We all do feel the wonder, but let’s avoid the Christmas kitsch and the tacit “God, the father” image he evoked.
Rumor is that our internal pipelines are the root cause. The CICD pipelines (not tests, the literal pipeline infrastructure) failed to block certain commits and pushed them to production when not ready.
We’ve been told to manually disable them to ensure integrity of our services when it recovers
I'm not surprised to find out they were breached I was trying to do a SEP around that time and finally gave up because their system was so broken. At least this explains the Apple ID reset requests I was getting in October!
The Pilot Operating Handbook (POH) contains numerous tables that pilots use to calculate what will be safe operating conditions for an aircraft. These include how much runway will be required at specific temperatures/elevations to clear obstacles. Those numbers were based on a 100 octane fuel so if the fuel is changed, those values must be determined once again and I believe that is largely done with flight testing. To do that on the entire fleet would be prohibitive.
Without these small planes the misery you experience flying commercial would increased greatly due to the lack of pilots. It's pretty bad as it is.
