I've been finding it difficult to get back into reading books (Hacker News and X are difficult for me to deprioritise)....

...but this year I set myself the goal of reading 10 books. One of the things that has really helped, is giving myself permission to quit a book if I am not enjoying it after the first 50 pages, or if it's too much of a struggle.

Also having 2 books on the go at the same time has been helpful too.

I am currnetly reading:

+ The Eloquence of the Sardine - Bill Francis

+ What about you doing with your life - J. Krishnmurti (recommended by Naval)

I am enjoying the first, learning lots of interesting facts about fish and the ocean but the second is quite slow and difficult and I might give up soon.

What can we do to try and stop this?

Thank you for sharing.

I would love a full explanation if you wouldn't mind, please do tell more.

I like the new design.

My only issue is that the sidebar expands when I mouse over it. Does anyone know if this can be fixed so just the icons show?
