looks nice, but if i still can't use terminal or closer to native cli, the pixel fold 10 with termux is still the right device for on-the-go development. termius is ok, but with termux i can run emacs on the pixel.

I’d like to learn more about doing this myself - do you recommend any good guides or posts?

I should do a write-up! Maybe you'll see it posted here soon. We could basically find nothing online...

i like this one...and it does have _some_ hinge protection. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F498PG6P?ref=fed_asin_title&th=1

With Graphene and Termux, I use my Fold 10 as a cyberdeck with a foldable BT keyboard. It’s amazing how focused that experience can be. More portable than a MacBook Air. I didn’t look at it as a phone getting bigger, but a laptop getting smaller.

What foldable BT keyboard do you use? Last time I tried something like this that was the weakest link with what was available on the market at the time.

This one: https://a.co/d/0gbmUrvs - it’s not my desktop mechanical for sure, but it’s solid and portable and not full of tiny keys.

reminded me of how much i loved reading this: "Lost Highways: An Illustrated History of Road Movies by Sargeant, Jack" https://www.abebooks.com/9781871592689/Lost-Highways-Illustr...

i like html fine, but org-mode, now you're talkin'. it's like the nasa voyager equivalent of text markup. just needs to be rescued from being held hostage in emacs.

The format itself can be easily implemented. There's not much to it and it actually has features that's undefined in markdown like frontmatter and references. The things that are missing can be replicated outside of emacs (babel, agenda, task management, timetracking, export,...), it's just that no one is doing it.

But did you read to the end while pooping?

this reminded me of this wonderful utility: https://github.com/nvbn/thefuck

Unfortunately thefuck seems to be unmaintained

nixpkgs maintainers have found https://github.com/iffse/pay-respects to be a modern replacement

That one actually looks useful!

This is one of those HN posts I will remember forever.

Depends on any project ideas, but as a newbie to hardware dev and with my own small scope eurorack module idea, I am having a lot of luck with flux.ai. Even got a small order of 5 PCBs printed for under $200.
