Heh, by asking "What happens if we miss this deadline?" you're transform it into a liveline, IMHO.

But what happens if you "miss a deadline" in your personal life? Do you have any personal life deadlines?

you'd better get your costume ready by Oct 31 if you want to have a halloween costume. You can slip your kid's birthday party to another day before you mail out the invitations, but after that you're committed. Christmas only comes on Dec 25, etc.

That I know. It's the "dead" part that bothers me, not the commitment. Who dies on a deadline? The "task"? Or you, little by little? That's my question...

Bureaucracy, volatile laws, laziness as a cultural norm, bribery and that's just the top of the iceberg.

Been there for 40 years and in the last 10 I own my own business. So I kinda know what I'm talking about. If somebody else could prove me wrong, just go ahead, I'd be happy to agree with you :-)

TY. Ik know I should work with as few ppl as possible and find out things myself to avoid high costs and to know the way. I understand how things got even worse bit by bit, but still I think that the young generation is full of ideas and energy to change this swamp. I remain positive !

It's not always about physical survival. As for loosing the revolution, it's the other way around ;-)

he he, glad it didn't put you off the post completely. Point is that during the army I was in a much more violent survival situation, although a little bit different than the exercise described. There's a link at the beginning of the article about that specific situation. The exercise made more sense for this specific article...

happy it did end well for you (the post, I mean) :-)

Quite close to what they taught us in our own survival course. But keep in mind that we were doing this during a communist regime. Maybe you don't know much about a communist regime, but food was the most important thing at that time. Although we were also identifying shelter and other necessary stuff, like the closest human presence, food was our number one unconscious priority.

Well, that's an interesting suggestion, though ;-)

The survival exercise in itself was much easier than I expected, although I was preparing for something really nasty. The point is that, for most of the time, what we're perceiving as being frightening is much more easier to bare in the end. I intently leave this contrast in the post and I'm happy you spotted it. It wasn't a real survival situation.

There is a much more frightening experience which I described <a href=http://www.dragosroua.com/the-sun-always-rises-at-dawn/>..., if you wanna know more...

that's one elegant and simple solution, I agree :-) But in this case the load wasn't so targeted, it was spread on 3-4 pages. But you're right, I could have made them all 3 static.

Thanks for the info, really appreciated :-)

that's what I call making an upgrade, but they're usually call this being dummped. Girls and their strange lingo... Why can't they talk like normal, 64bits dual core guys like us?

If I would have to check her out, I usually start with MORE then slightly leaning towards LESS. Soon, all I do is just a TAIL every now and then...
