awesome! I tried once to make something very similar in p5 but never got past the sketch phase https://editor.p5js.org/ejarzo/sketches/dsNdGZt0n

thats cool, the UI has a nice feel to it. i asked myself if i should make the starting positon and direction of the dots on Franzelio configurable. that UX might work.

True although that doesn't necessarily mean more intelligence – theoretically smaller could mean more efficient – like how our computers have decreased in size but increased in performance.

Actually, intelligence is a hindrance, not help when fighting a lion. I mean, it's useful to have one smart person in the tribe, to invent all those weapons, but smart people tend to overthink everything, making them worse fighters/hunters.

This is absurd. The only reason modern humans overthink things is because the modern environment and conveniences do not really challenge humans in the same way they evolved to be challenged. A group of male humans is excellently evolved to fight a lion or a mammoth or another group of male humans, and in doing so, execute complex strategies and tactics as a team.

It's not just a theory. Many animals have bigger brains than humans including mammoths.

The Neanderthals and earlier Homo Sapiens Sapiens (which have had larger brain than ours too), have had smaller bodies with larger brains though.

Hey I'm the creator, cool to see this on HN – thanks for posting! Happy to answer any questions

This is so cool! It reminds me of some of the instruments in the Animusic videos, but made into real life instruments.

Haha totally! what a throwback

Really well thought out interface, looks super easy to quickly make a bunch of edits -- The SHIFT+Touch to connect modules is nice and I love that you can always just export the last 30 minutes. Looks like a ton of work went into the documentation as well -- can't wait to dive in!

Really cool idea, looking forward to trying it out! My only complaint is that the default hotkey is the same as Alfred -- Is there any way to customize it?

Not right now. I'll add that to our todo list.

It's also the way to input a non-breaking space (\xa0) with the standard keyboard, something I use a lot.

Same for me too, using Raycast
