I agree when I started using it early 2020 that the ui felt less modern, but after some updates down the road up until now it looks completely like it is from this era. Am I missing something?

NextCloud generally appears to use their own design system everywhere, Android apps are also not in Material or on iOS (iirc) in Cupertino. It makes for a subpar experience in general but is consistent.
Love reading these posts where a person implement their own solution to communicate with devices that have proprietary software that only support Windows.

I got downvoted to -4 for my rather strong worded praise of this virtue, one that the media & politicians seem to directly hate & be opposed to. Unless you are on Apple silicon, then im not sure the ARM cpu and hardware is powerful enough for you to get a decent experience. It is heavy software, after all. Still, I would expect them to release Linux ARM builds when we inevitably move over to ARM as the common arch. :)
The NVIDIA DGX Spark that I use has a fairly decent ARM CPU that's roughly on par with the M3 Pro and AMD AI Max 395+ according to Geekbench, plus a GPU that's very powerful (RTX 5070 level). I'm sure it will be more than powerful enough for me to get a decent experience.
Ampere make some big 32-128 core server ARM chips that are somewhere around Zen4c ish in performance, although they aren't commonly used outside of the server context. But they do at least exist.
I have been waiting... so many years for this. Like, I figured it would never come. So happy to be wrong. Wonder if it will work well on Raspberry Pi and also if it will come with Hardware Video Acceleration out of the box.
Me too. Trying to get Chrome to run in Docker on an ARM Mac was a battle that I didn't win (I didn't want to fight the battle to start with but I had to use a Mac rather than Linux).
I would have more faith in Raspberry Pi's own patched build of Chromium to do hardware acceleration properly on the Pi than I would have in Google's generic Chrome build.
If enough people ask Broadcom to do VA-API on their platforms getting that enabled on Chromium shouldn't be too hard. The caveat is that codec support is limited (no VP8/VP9/AV1).
App is slow. It plays music video content as default. Gui has many non interesting parts. I just want a list of albums and songs.
I guess I just want it to be "boring but functional. :)
About to watch the film now. I know there are controversial aspects to this, but in my opinion this is something I myself need to allow happen. Alex know it himself, that there is a risk of ending it, but most people will not understand the feelings he get before, during and after a climb. So who am I to judge from my couch in my livingroom whether he should be allowed to pursue his lifestyle or not. He is not actively hurting anyone.
He mentioned he considers partying more dangerous than climbing. I can't tell how dangerous his stunts are, but he's still alive, so perhaps he knows what he's doing?
I find it refreshing that a webpage can give such joy, to the point of having people talk about it in the same way you talk about books and movies. You know, being able to enjoy it for the first time and so and so.
