Just to be clear about it, what we're doing is not a forge like GitHub, that is, a large single public platform for social coding. What we are doing is providing reliable infrastructure for the enterprise, initially as a BYOC on-premises option, and possibly a single-tennant SaaS. Keep your eyes peeled and/or use that contact form to hear about it when we're ready, we've been talking with some people for a bit but are going to be opening up more soon.
Tangled is doing the social coding thing, and they're jj-native as well. Been a big fan of their work for a while now.
Practically speaking, it’s difficult to offer Scion in a form that would be broadly useful to other organizations. It diverges significantly from git, meaning companies would need to migrate every piece of the development lifecycle, and it requires its own code review, code search, and CI. Our internal versions of these components are highly bespoke, so they would be difficult for other organizations to adopt, and we worry that attempting to build a public version that tries to please everyone wouldn’t actually be very useful.
k, thx for sharing. Are you guys sure this isn't a Google blog post? They would be proud!
If the median voter "declines" because they're become skilled at and accustomed to using a bot to help them make complex decisions, then maybe they'll skip lazily voting D or R down the line and we'll be alright anyway.
Irrelevant. They are not the original microwaves sold as the solution to cooking and the way they work is totally different. And even with convection, they still haven't "solved" cooking.
On the contrary; the original microwaves are irrelevant. Restaurants are businesses, using whatever new appliance will help them. Furthermore, the poster never claimed microwaves 'solved' anything.
