But do they commingle inventory? That's the real problem with Amazon, not that fakes are listed on the marketplace, but that you can't even trust Amazon as the seller.
According to a quick google search Walmart does not commingle inventory. However, I think they will eventually once their tech can support it. Target started commingling inventory so it is only a matter of time before Walmart does. From a logistics standpoint it makes 2-day shipping much easier since you can spread inventory out across the country.
> 99% of the time, you’ll get the same or better deal by booking online with the hotel directly.
This is often repeated but I almost never find it to be true in reality. Particularly for non chain hotels, best case scenario is their prices are the same as booking.com but if I go through booking I'll get points and future discounts. This tier is never cheaper booking directly. Chain hotels where I have a non base tier status will sometimes be cheaper but even then usually not.
For reasons, chains have to give the aggregators their best publicly available price. However, there is a loophole that loyalty users can be offered a lower price.
The chain still makes more money as they can avoid paying the aggregator a commission.
Even if so, the issue I’ve encountered with booking services is a complete lack of options when things go wrong.
I had a situation where the hotel was actively trying to help me, but they had few options because the booking agent (Hotels.com) made it almost impossible to get support. The hotel person patiently stayed on the line with them for almost an hour going through escalation after escalation (I was deeply grateful).
Would have been a 5 minute fix if I’d booked with the hotel, and not every place would be willing to go to these lengths.
I hear you on the points thing. But I’ve started weighing the cost of those points against the likelihood of needing to make changes once I arrive somewhere. If it’s a reputable place that I stay regularly, I’m less worried.
Fair enough. Most of my experience tends to be with chains. But my impression is that the non-chain hotels I book don’t typically appear on aggregators so I’m usually booking with them directly in any event.
Counterpoint to your anecdote. I didn't find Amazon all that toxic for my first 2 years until I had a baby. First, the parental leave is significantly worse than competitors. I took 3 weeks when my son was born and another 5 to help my wife transition back to work herself (only 6 were paid by Amazon). There was a 10 week period in between leaves where I was stressed, anxious, and feeling overworked and burned out. My performance suffered. I received no extra help from my manager but also received no negative feedback during that time. Welp, came back from the 2nd half of my leave and was immediately put on a pip (technically called 'focus'). Worse, there was absolutely zero empathy from this manager during the focus.
Maybe Amazon can be a good place to work if you're ALWAYS able to be a solid performer but god forbid you're going through something in your personal life that temporarily impacts your ability to deliver.
Even that is not true. One could argue that it's true in a system like the US, where the Federal Reserve is separate from the Treasury. I'm not sure it's true in a fiat currency situation where the Treasury can print money for free and then spend it. (Of course, that's the path to ruin through government fiscal irresponsibility destroying the currency...)
> For people that use vaporizers like mine, you also need to have a certain amount for the vaporizer to be effective otherwise you get nothing out of it
You probably know this but just in case, some vapes are better for microdosing than others and will work with just a pinch.
> Unfortunately finding the low-dose stuff seems to be very difficult.
What I've been doing is buying CBD flower online (usually <$75 per/ounce) and mixing it with a small amount of THC flower. I can pack my vape full, still get big clouds, but have a tame effect, the only downside is that the flavor isn't quite as good.
The amount of flower doesn't seem to make much difference for me; it still produces the anxiety and panicky feeling, but doesn't last as long. For example I'll have 15 minutes of panic attacks instead of an hour. That's a great trick though, so I'll try it out with the CBD flower and see how it goes, thanks!
Keep in mind individuals can test positive for months after being infected but are not at risk for spreading the virus. It really should be a negative test or 14+ days after a positive test.
My experience is that it's quite easy flying on a major carrier with a dog that fits under the seat. Many airports have started to add pet bathrooms as well.
Not the above comment but I find the story a bit suspect. I have many friends in the competitive powerlifting world and while many have nagging injuries, almost none of them came directly from deadlifting. That's my experience as well, I have pulled over 600 at 181 and never came close to an injury from the lift but I can't say the same for squat (knee, hip, and shoulder pain) and bench (wrist and lower back pain).
my physio basically said some people are born with better biomechanics and better structural strength for competitive lifting than others and i'm just not one of them.
if i can get back to at least a 400 lb DL i'd be pretty happy.
How? Are Tesla's more dangerous as a result of direct sales? Do you have data to show this?
