Have you asked it to write better?

I know right! How many layers of translation do the images from our eyes go through before we make a decision? Perhaps they have a lot more reasoning but this is just what they publicise

>>> Not doing work is neither depression nor alcoholism.

It definitely can be as a result of depression. I don't think we have enough information to rule out things like depression.

Did you have to do any training for that? I’ve been contemplating leaving tech and have always been interesting in your area.

I am avid movie buff. For training, I would highly recommend reading Story by Robert McKee and look up information on how to do script coverage. There are plenty of information on that. I am happy to answer in more detail through email. saby83 at gmail

I quit my job a couple months ago after burning out and have been spending a while wondering what I should be doing.

As it stands currently, I got accepted for a masters in financial economics for a uni in aus. My city is way more focussed on finance and the pay and the types of software jobs here aren’t very exciting.

I’m still researching to make sure it’ll be a good decision though I’m still nervous about it.

Not op though I’ve been doing it for a while now. A crap ton of scales and exercises. Lots of work to develop the many muscles in that area as well as teaching them how to coordinate together.

What do you do if you don’t mind answering? I recently quit my job because of my mental health and would love to find a part time job though having trouble finding one in the tech space

I'm mostly working contracts (programming, architecture). I quit them fairly regularly - I've just checked and my median time of stay on a job is 12 months (ranges between 4 and 22). Between the contracts, I take ample amounts of free time to recover and convince myself that I can do it again...

Regarding part time, after proving to be a valuable addition to the team, I was twice able to convince my bosses to let me work part time (60% and 50%). Depends on the local market and how hot you are compared to an average replacement available to your boss, asking for part-time can be very feasible. However, in my case it didn't help much as I, in both cases, still quit a couple months later anyway.

At jobs, I feel like my soul is poisoned by all the crap and idiocy that takes place there and working less does not fundamentally change it that much (the poison is still there). Fundamentally, I feel like I didn't learn the skill of copying with job suckiness that most people seem to have mastered. Hence, my only hope is FI and then doing my own thing (I have some ideas) as a way to stay productive and generate some extra income.

What makes Vedic Indian meditation special?

One of the things about the mantras is that if you chant them , your breathing is improved. In fact someone I know who has been doing this for a long time says that a lot of breathing problems go away if you do this regularly.

If you don’t want to believe all this , Id go with the following : Just like music, your attention is drawn towards the chant and hopefully stay there :)

Well India is where Yoga originated from and Meditation is a sub-segment within the ambit of Yoga. It is an art developed and perfected over hundreds of year and somehow you will feel that difference if you give it a try. It is really for you to experience and find out if you find it better. Let me give you a good starting point.

Their startup course was a waste of time.

Sure, they’re largely status symbols but they still have the fastest chips on the market and compete for the best camera on the market. I think there’s tech people out there that like it just for being one of the best phones.
