React for the front end and Django for the back end.

The site is inspired by the awesome project of Jordan Hughes: goodbooks.io, but with a 'I'm feeling lucky' type of twist to quickly get book summaries to read without putting in too much thought. Daniel, one of my colleague devs at Deepstash who worked with me on the project, initially came up with the idea while ordering a pizza and feeling the need of a 'just order something' button. We have this deal within the company where we can use part of our time to build what we want which also seems cool to the chiefs. We decided to use ours to come up with Bookstash, which they loved. More people were involved in this, among which Ciprian, Ovidiu, Sabin, Adriana. We realized that those 2-3 minutes we have during coffee or when waiting for our commute usually get wasted away. So for those time gaps when you've got nothing to do, you can just go on Bookstash and quickly go through a new book. What do you think?

Bookstash is a free website which gives you nonfiction book recommendations at the tap of a button. Short ideas are presented from the picked book, so it is easy to get the gist of it in just a few minutes. Ideas can be saved and reading progress is tracked.
