Pet trackers in which situation though? The times I’ve wanted a tracker on my dog is when we’re out in the woods for a hike and I worry he bolts after an animal or similar. I can’t see how an AirTag would help in that scenario.

That’s a good point. You’re right: they’d be useless there, unless you were so close to your dog that you could hear it anyway. I live in a city and a lost dog would be close to any number of people with phones at any given time, and it’d be very useful there.

That's the part of the "hope" people have with the AirTag is that their pet will happen to wander close to another compatible Apple device to update the tracking. I assume this is also why they are not the "suggested" use

I would pay $4/mo to stay as far away from Oracle as possible

You’re thinking of a couple of the older Honda series of engine. K series spin the conventional direction.

I read this entire page, it spelled out the benefits, but didn't tell me what it actually IS or DOES.

For example, "Bottles is a wrapper around WINE"

>but didn't tell me what it actually IS or DOES

It tells you right at the start:

"Easily run Windows software on Linux with Bottles!"

That's all you need to know. If Linux wants to be more mainstream it needs to drop the "Bottles is a wrapper around WINE". What's a wrapper? What's WINE? It doesn't matter. All the user need to know that you can easily run Windows software on Linux with Bottles

And yet, it is still not open source :)

ROI?

I use Dewalt for my woodworking stuff and Milwaukee M12 for this very reason. M12 for automotive for their high speed ratchet, 3/8” stubby impact, right angle die grinder, etc. Milwaukee seems to have an edge there although Dewalt isn’t far behind.

AVE had tear downs years ago and I think there were a few places where dewalt edged out Milwaukee. There was also some black magic going on with dewalt impacts and a rebound effect. See Torque test channel[1].

For automotive Milwaukee is the clear winner.

It took over two weeks to triage on Vercel’s side after disclosure. How is that “good”?

Looks like they took this down. I was able to read a few hours ago.

Thank you Mark for all the hard work you’ve put in to the React community over the years.
