Changelog monitor tool I made for myself that I’m slowly making available.
I keep an eye on a number of project changelogs and needed to be notified when they update. Since they’re in various places, and don’t all have releases so I can’t use GitHub’s release notifications, I built a simple tool to consume from anywhere with an url and send me a diff. Slowly adding features on top of that.
Hmm, I need something sort of like this but to monitor the changelogs of all my dependencies on Github. Want to see the changes in those dependencies between one release of my software and the next.
Don’t build it, because I don’t need it enough to pay for it (or get my boss to pay for it).
I'll say it. Been using the iPhone 6 for several weeks. Love it, but the screen is just a little too big for my tastes. It's awkward and I miss the smaller screen. It's enough of an annoyance I'm looking at other phones for the first time.
I agree. My iPhone 6 is too big. Not an iPhone 6, just a regular iPhone. I've had it since launch day, so I've had plenty of time to get used to it. Whenever I pick up my wife's 5S, it's like a breath of fresh air.
I've heard dozens of people say that about the iPhone 6 -- not necessarily about the 6 Plus though.
I'd say that 5" versus 6" is a qualitative difference. People don't buy a 6" phone thinking, "Eh, whatever". You don't hear a lot of people complaining that 6" phones are too big for the same reason you don't hear a lot of people complaining that Linux is too hard to use -- because you only got there by having already decided the answer to the question.
The Android app SayIt has a widget that does something similar to this. It learns purely from usage/recency and is generally very good at presenting you with the apps your most likely to launch. All of the analysis is performed on the device so no information is shared with 3rd party servers. It also sports very fast voice based app launching. No affiliation just use it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.sayit

I’d love to know if this is valuable to anyone else on the planet but me. Or what would make it so.
