The Technology Solutions Architect (TSA) is a leadership position that helps define technical specifications and software architectures for custom applications supporting the U.S. Senate. A successful candidate has keen interest in researching and recommending best practices and emerging technology, learning new skills, and mentoring/sharing their knowledge with the team. The TSA works on development roadmaps, evaluates frameworks, develops strategies to address technical debt, codifies CI/CD policies, and documents processes to add value across multiple projects. This position supports a technology stack that includes Python, Django, Vue.js, and PostgreSQL in a containerized environment, and expertise in these areas is required. The TSA works closely and collaboratively with the development team to ensure projects’ successes.

This is professional and technical programming work analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining applications supporting the Senate. Work includes system analysis and design, programming, and conducting program and system testing. The incumbent must determine the tools and methods in planning, designing and modeling the applications. Instructions received can include general and specific procedures and methods used to complete assigned tasks as well as time frames for completing assigned tasks. The incumbent must have experience with Python programming language and web frameworks as well as JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
