Countries like Israel welcome this because it means they will have free rein to do as they please. And countries like the USA, who built the entire fucking system and benefit from it the most, are now happily dismantling it. It's madness.
This is sort of how I see it. It's so difficult to believe that the USA+Israel winning would be a good thing, if it then means that Trump just invades another country after it. He will not stop until a country stops him. It looks like it could easily be Iran.
The idea of the US being so cucked that it's willing to send its young men and women off to the sandbox once again to die for Israel is morbidly fascinating.
I think this is sort of final proof that electing a king for four years with more or less total power as the presidential system outlines is fundamentally a shit system.
This is just a new (and primarily conservative) interpretation of the system (the so-called "unitary executive" theory).
There's a different interpretation where the existing laws constrain the executive, there is no "unitary executive", and the result is a highly constrained presidency. E.g. Biden attempting to use explicit language written by Congress to do something and being told he could not do so by the judiciary (for "reasons").
It's funny really when you think about it, the Americans are so proud of their checks and balances, but then also gave the president the power to unilaterally start wars. Lol.
America is run by ideologues and the EU idealists. either way we are heading in separate directions. I don’t think the US can be described as a western country anymore tbh.
Americans voted for no new wars, and especially no new wars in the sandbox, and they got a new war in the sandbox.
Americans really have to be among the most gullible people on the planet.
Not to mention that Trump is a paedophile, the open corruption, attempted coup etc... it's like that Hemingway quote. The decline of the USA has been gradual, and then very sudden.
