I don't think you did a bad thing. People take others people ideas all the time. I like the idea, and your project looks like a decent one. Just take a look at that Sign up button, looks pretty bad in Chrome!
I recently switched themes and that background didn't match well. I also found a similar problem with the captcha on signup, which I fixed. Thanks for reporting that!
Now "Sign up" looks better. One more thought: I think that you should try to make that homepage looks better. Maybe different image, or even slider, and better order in general. It looks a little messy, like you created it in five 5mins or so.
Just because of the design DeskAnything leaves better impression on me.
Making your homepage better would definitely improve the general impression of users.
Yeah, I struggle with design. I've been working on that page, but don't have anything to push yet. Thanks for the advice, it doesn't fall on deaf ears. I've been thinking of offering a trade in hours...maybe post to craigslist.
Aha, I see. Well, I have no idea how could you do that.
But about selling it, consider an option that you contact some marketing agencies to get you a company which will buy/sponsor/brand the app. And to marketing agency offer a percent from contract you make with the client they find.
Most introductory programming books lay down the basic principles of programming, describe the specific language the particular book covers, and give you enough of a sense of how you can apply the knowledge to real-world applications that you should be able to decide within 100 pages whether it's for you.
No no, not at all. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Sometimes I get frustrated, when f.e. I want to get concepts of a new programming language, and learn it fast. I can't understand that f.e. it's so hard to find a good book/guide in under 100 pages. But ok, that's for the technical books.
So, no sarcasm, I agree with you about the first 30 pages :)
I take power naps regularly almost every day, and it's true, after 15 mins of nap, I'm much more fresh and awake than before nap. I usually take nap after lunch, so between 13 - 15h.
About sleeping in general, I don't think that sleeping less than 8h per day is a myth. Nikola Tesla was sleeping 3-4 hours per day!
Recently I have found a cool website, which helps you to decide when to wake up or when to go to bed, so you can wake up fresh in the morning - sleepyti.me - bedtime calculator
Anki is great to recapitulate what you already know.
At the moment, I'm trying to use it for learning new stuff. I am preparing for lpic-1 certification exams, and I use only Anki as tool to study. For now I'm really satisfied.
