I've thought about doing something similar as well! It drives me nuts this ban, everywhere I look I see these blocked images. I thought about making a chrome extension that proxies.
Sadly, I couldn't go home to hang out with my family this year. (I live abroad) I thought it would be cool to build a fun thing and have all of us put our hands together and turn them into turkeys. So I forced them all to join me. The kids loved it at least.
I think the world needs more fun, wacky stuff like this. No ads, no money being made. Just random weirdness. If you like random fun stuff like this, you can subscribe to the newsletter.
I want to show the world that the old internet is still alive and well. It's just buried under a mountain of crap.
Hope this brings a smile to people's faces. It has for me! I've loved seeing all the turkeys people created.
It's not a new model; it's a router + many, many chains of optimized system prompts. Note the terminology they use to describe it.
> We are introducing GPT‑5, our best AI system yet
> GPT‑5 is a unified system with a smart, efficient model that answers most questions...
They make a special point to call it a system, of which "a model" is a part. I'm betting they didn't pre-train gpt5 from scratch, but did a ton of RL on gpt4 + prompt optimization and the routing engine.
