If the most advanced ie FSD by Tesla still does not come with gurantee and the human has to babysit it ie stay alert at all time so they can take over in a moments notice or less , then shouldn’t the positive results be also attributable to the humans that drive those autonomous vehicles?

It doesn't matter yet because it hasn't actually happened: Trump's declaration was (unsurprisingly) another attempt to do something dictatorial, in particular usurping the power of Congress to create a tax, making the plan unconstitutional as well as illegal in some lesser ways.
At least for now, the US court system has correctly called that out, and has blocked the attempt because it's not something a legitimate President can do.
It seems the case is Californa v. Mullin, and the latest status is that his staff have filed an appeal (2026-06-12) asking a higher court to undo their loss.
The whole thing seems to depend upon AI agents objective ie to achieve some objective by any means possible and ignoring any guardrails. The article did not clarify if openAI had any guardrails to begin with while conducting this experiment. For all the talks around how much they invest in AI safety one would expect them to have these common sense guardrails in place or is it just a case of some school children letting their pet monkeys loose deliberately to display how awesome their monkey team is.
OpenAI didn't have any guardrails in place - they were training a model at a point much earlier than when guardrails start being implemented.
The guardrail was meant to be that the agents were running in a locked-down environment with no internet access. The entire problem came about because it turned out that sandbox didn't hold.

Yes, but I think we should separate human economic value from the true purpose of our existence. If AI can replace us in economically valuable tasks, we will have no choice but to do so. The economic value part should be looked at objectively.
