Get a VORON printer and get a kit.

They're completely open (both software and hardware) and you can mod and do whatever the hell you want with them.

+1, my wife and I have been working on a VORON 2.4 together and it's been a blast!

I've been running a self-hosted Forgejo. Extremely responsive and I've been really happy with it.

How many PRs from other people have you received on your self-hosted Forgejo instance?

They're free to email me a diff :-)

Jokes aside, the era of community built software is coming to an end. There is no place in the world now for a repository of open source projects.

None and I don't want to.

If I did I would host it on a VPS and make it public.

Why bother with a forge at all if you don't want to collaborate with other people?

Because it has CI and builds images in a nice and easy manner.

This surely must be sarcasm.

Right...?

nope. i'm literally the guy the GP is referring to :)

Are you implying Rust will stop working or something?

Try CachyOS instead. Ubuntu is not great.

I installed CachyOS for my 8-year old son and his desktop instead of Windows.

It's been wonderful.

GrapheneOS.

Just today I finished migrated all my public and private repositories to Forgejo, with a push mirror to Codeberg for relevant public repos.

It's unbeleivably snappy and fast. I can't recommend Forgejo enough.

On Mars, Great Western Trails, Obsession, Luthier, and Spirit Island are some of my favorite games.

And Netrunner of course!

A developer-focused laptop shouldn't even need arrow keys.

It's weird what people prioritize.
