You can’t even connect a debugger to that thing last I checked. Has the debugging experience improved?

You might be shocked at the market share of iOS devices in the US, especially when it comes to people who have disposable income to do things like buying new cars

Easier solution is to pay the organized crime leaders to not do crime

This is a good move considering we don’t have universal basic income to sustain all the displaced drivers from full automation. Better to use this technology to supplement drivers as opposed to replacing them

Apple requires this from all apps in the App Store. It’s pretty nice on the consumer side

How do you enforce privacy laws with foreign entities? They can just lie and say they’re compliant. Not sure if courts in China care

At that point, Apple/Google would be forced to remove them from app stores since it would violate laws.

You work 8 hours a day though. Why be alone all those hours?

Who said you have to be. Working remote doesn't mean you have to be at home. Go to a coffeeshop, library, etc...

You still need to block internet access to the camera via your router once it’s setup with HomeKit

I traced it, Cam does not talk to outside. But yes, its still wise to block

It’s a shame they don’t seem to want to support Apples HomeKit Secure Video platform on their new devices. At least with apple we can trust everything stays local.

The Eufy cameras I do have that support home kit, I’ve blocked internet access to them from my router and can only access them through Apples Hone app.

That said I do recommend blocking internet to all cameras and use a self hosted app like Scrypted or Homebridge to manage your cameras

I think the part of the reason is that Apple HSV doesn’t support resolutions higher than 1080p.

They have been promising RTSP for a long time now and also failed to deliver.

Heck, I went beyond blocking and just pulled the Ethernet. The only time I need to look at the DVR is when my house has been broken into.

The root of the problem here is that there is this idea that “cloud storage“ or “network access” can be private.

It can also escalate the level of violence. For example if you know a robot will come after you with deadly force, probably going to go ahead and get heavily armed, potentially using black market robots. A cat and mouse game
