Whoops I forgot to link to the book or make it clear it's a book summary.

I purchased witch several years ago, and my main complaint is that it takes a long time to show all my windows if there's a lot of applications windows, and this did not use to be the case. It's fine if I'm switching between windows in one application, but if I say, want to show all the windows open on my computer, it takes 3+ seconds to display the interface.

I discussed it with the Many tricks support, and apparently it's a problem with MacOS

Yeah, I used to be a faithful user and I quit because of this. Many Tricks makes good software, but it seems the APIs they use for some of the window information end up getting very slow under certain circumstances, starting on an OS release somewhere around 2017 if I recall.

One of my favorite things about Witch is the huge amount of customization you could do with it. Defining multiple switchers with different behaviors and different trigger keys is a nice feature too.

As someone learning hindi, I'm looking forward to trying this.

Shaabash!

The solution is to be good teacher and learner - there's so many fascinating interests these days and things i don't know about. And I want to share things from my niche too.

As with all things, there are trade-offs, nothing will ever be perfect and we should solutions if it improves tings. How many people die per 1000 km traveled? Accidents? Injuries?

Ok, well for those of us that didn't read the exact same set of articles you did, you sound like a guy making stuff up...so send some links.

This article from December 2020 exactly supports what OP is saying- https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/dec/10/pornhub-mast...

Just like you, I hadn't read the exact same articles as GP. But I was able to find this article in seconds on google as GP suggested.

Have any of the books in this list hit problems with replication, or later finding out the science isn't so good?

Yes. The Sigmund Freud book.

I read the whole thing and you're basically right. I enjoyed it still, but it's a book where you get 80% of the insghts in the first chapter. I also heard some of the expiriemtns mentioned in the book fell afoul of the replication crisis.

I really enjoy using Transmit, and feel bad that I don't know about many Mac devs making great products. I also like Many Tricks and Alfred. Anyone have a list of other top mac developer houses?

Are the second, third and fourth rungs so horrible? The bottom of the ladder is pretty bad, but people going to uni are unlikely to be on the bottom. As far as computer science goes, you can be a total fuck up and still easily live an upper middle class life.
