No easy solution other than implementing your own customer identity verification as payment prerequisite. Some platforms allow to do it, however end user experience has a lot of friction. User will get additional pop up with a bank login, where they enter/MFA through and select bank accounts to verify their card against.

Open Banking is the long term solution here. There are countries with relatively advanced legislation on that manner, so depending where you operate you might have full flow in the background through banks API (the only thing you need to capture is end user email for account/ID verification).

I had similar experience to OP. After 5 years and 20k USD spent for scattered pieces from various expensive specialists, I finally got diagnosed with AS at 27. This is not about aging at all. The disease (or disorder) doesn't have any known treatment, it only can be slowed down with expensive meds. The diagnosis is very tricky because the destructive effect - ossification of joints - happens slowly and mostly invisible on any type of modern (and expensive) imagery.

All is fun and games until you face and evetually get wiped out by more advanced farmer-based societies, with specialized labor (army), more developed tools (weapons and cavalry) and much more sophisticated social structure (elites deciding where to expand). Jared Diamond wrote a lot on this subject.

Need more context for conversation. Could you elaborate a bit?

Sydney-based seed round startup, ~40 people. From last month some folks started getting cut (mostly permanent senior engs) to be replaced with temporary 6-12 month junior/mid-level devs. Rumor is it's done to reduce the headcount "on paper". Might be just a "regular" optimization, we do payroll automation and with these AI tools popping up every day we might get out-competed soon.

I think it's coming. Australia is always lagging behind. All indicators (RBA rates, etc) point that it will hit. Might be closer to winter.
