Isn't "Block" the company with a bunch of half-baked crypto investments?

Methinks "AI" is only a figleaf here.

Just game the benchmarks, bro. (The singularity we didn't want or ask for.)

It's what the current model providers are doing anyways.

Increasing model size doesn't make your model smarter, it just makes it know more facts.

There's easier ways to do that.

> I just wonder how long it'll take local models to be good enough for 99% of use cases.

Qwen 2.5 was already there. "99% of use cases" isn't a very high bar right now.

> Not sure how one would migrate that.

Ctrl-C Ctrl-V?

> all you need bunch of cheap interns to some decent enough testing

Sounds like a problem AI can easily solve!

> the engineering is in the scaffolding, not the prompting

Well, yes. Feeding random tokens as prompts until something good comes out is a valid strategy.

Simulated annealing for game design

Not that I condone any form of gambling but I would rather play actual slot machines instead of spending hundreds of dollars on tokens in hopes that the AI blesses me with anything useful.

This sort of thing is usually done on the frontier of LLM research. (Role play with local models.)

It's something you'd do once for shits and giggles, before realizing it's only funny once.

> buy an airgapped network and its own RPi for OpenClaw

> give it your email and Google passwords

> Who are these developers that have both been "advocating for best practices" and also "seem to be completely abandoning all of them simply because it’s AI"?

All of them. Apparently uploading all your codez to some cloud provider that doesn't even have a figleaf of a EULA is okay now, because "AI".

> All of them.

An insane claim with zero evidence provided. You're just making it up. Found the tribalistic propagandist unconcerned with reality or truth.

"All of them who now all of a sudden use cloud AI IDE's".

Happy now?
