I also recently built a system with the 14900KF on an ASUS TUF motherboard and NZXT Kraken 360 cooler, and so far I haven't experienced any issues running everything at default BIOS settings (defaulted to 5.7GHz). I haven't seen temps above 70C yet, although granted I also haven't seen CPU load go above 40%, and haven't tried running any benchmarking software.

I'm curious about what you are using for cooling, as 90C at 5.4ghz seems way off compared to what I am seeing on my processor, but it could just be that I'm not pushing my processor quite as hard even with the higher clock rate.

If I were to guess, I'd say that this estimate is including hardware, cloud resources, software licenses, benefits, stock options, and probably more that I can't think of in addition to salary, but I too would like a more detailed explanation on how they came by that number.

Probably also the HR, legal, etc. support staff amortized across headcount.

He only gives scammers the QR code that leads into his gauntlet. Normal people shouldn't be stumbling into this, as it requires a fake QR code from a fake Bitcoin ATM receipt. This also lures the scammers in as they believe they will receive (someone else's) Bitcoin.

Scammers have recruited at least one victim to try to complete the fake withdrawal process for them. Luckily Kit and his team noticed and got her help. He was live streaming and only showed his side of the call. It has rather sad since it was clear the victim was very vulnerable (a lonely veteran with a brain injury who was being scammed for years).

but if you had a sample qr code (or even just the basic url?) you could start trolling innocents, no?

What are the stakes? It's a website with weird captchas and a phone robot that puts you on hold, not a landmine.

Design it well and innocents can be identified quickly and directed to real people who can help them out, as what happened in this video at the end.

sure, but you won't be scamming them, so it's all in fun troll spirit. frankly, i've met some asshats in the real world that i wouldn't mind pulling pranks like this on.

I was under the impression that when they said "This is a fraction of the amount I put back into the grid", it implied that they are generating their own electricity to use for this, most likely from solar panels.

This is an assumption though, they could be running a large diesel generator for all we know.

Yes, what you are impling is correct. Forgot to mention that we have a 8kw solar system on our roof.

I updated my comment.

Getting a Steam Deck and owning Rimworld has been a very dangerous combination for me... Haven't tried Factorio on my Deck yet partly because I don't think there is an official control scheme for it yet, but I'm worried that when I do it will open that addiction right back up and I will become completely useless in the real world.

BTW rimworld is also on consoles.
