I do absolutely love the other answer!

Agile isn't a coding standard or approach.

> everyone just uses AI to generate 10,000 line files of unit tests and nobody can verify anything

This is not a guaranteed outcome of requiring 100% coverage. Not that that's a good requirement, but responding badly to a bad requirement is just as bad.

If you don't incentivise individual responsibility, you don't get it.

The problem people have is the trains don't get them home on time.

You might need a bit more than ASTs, as you need code to be human-readable as well as machine-readable. Maybe CSTs?

CSTs are the right call for round-tripping, but isn't that essentially what tree-sitter gives you, a concrete syntax tree that preserves whitespace, comments, and formatting.

> this isn't starting conversation, it's just being smug

How you could imagine someone calmly setting out their stall of ideas isn't starting conversation, but you making up their emotions as a counter is?

Elevator pitch could be "Wirecard for Social Media".

They're criticising this statement, and not the person:

> More trans people means more inclusive programming communities.

> China has restrictions for social media and screen time for kids — how do they implement this?

China is much more socially conservative, and less likely to abandon their kids to latest thing.
