And with the latest iOS 11.2.2, this (admittedly cool) piece of code no longer works.

Still works on the latest MacOS (10.13.2) though.

Hmm...I just tried on iPhone 7/iOS 11.2.2, and it still works, albeit takes very long to start.

surely that would just apply to the rsync code, not a re-implementation using the same protocol?

It really is that good - as a Swede, you get your prepared statement (and unless you've done a major or irregular thing in the past year, like buying a house, or trading stock on an exchange outside the European Union) that prepared statement is correct. Part of the statement says "If you agree without modifications, just text 1234234 to the number 1234454".

And a few seconds later you get a reply SMS that confirms that your taxes are indeed filed for this year.

Done. Simple. And awesome :)

I just finished tour.golang.org - I recommend it!

I second that, it's definitely a great resource.

Also, check out:

Thanks everyone!

I've tried doing it(amidst my school exams) but I think it doesn't quite drill into me best practices.

I don't want to explore go and hack up something; I want to learn it once and learn it right. Any recommendation for this? (:
