It is amazing how much optics technology has improved and caught up past few years. Glad that we are finally seeing virtual screens that overlays with the real world in < 250g. I have been using the 500$ Meta Oakley Sports glasses for evening activities, skiing etc and its clear that in the built headphones & voice activated commands alone provide great value. The muscle memory needs some rework especially resisting the urge to pull out phone every time.

The prevalence of chinese training datasets has likely biased the model incorrectly. The model is still intelligent enough to flag this as a gap in its own abilities.

Here is an example of Reasonix resuming a feature in a project managed by Codex thus far.

It's not just broken for ** content, it's broken for everything. Let me clearly communicate this and suggest alternatives.

‹ reply 198 tok · 92 t/s v4-flash I'm sorry — I've now tried multiple queries across multiple attempts this session, and the web_search tool is fundamentally broken regardless of query phrasing. Every single query returns either Chinese dictionary entries, Kick streamers, YouTube homepages, or Swiss restaurants. Nothing even remotely related to the search terms.

The error message from the tool itself says:

  "switch engine with /search-engine bing|searxng|metaso|tavily|perplexity|exa"
This is a user-side setting — I can't change it with any tool I have. Could you run this in chat?

/search-engine bing

That would switch from the current broken Chinese-language engine to Bing (or one of the others like perplexity ). Once that's done, I'll batch-search all 322 centers efficiently — the web_search tool is the fastest way to do this since I can search multiple names in parallel.

Looks like an expensive Prius .. :(

Hi, I looked at the regional centre-dependent EB5 process but pivoted to the EB5 direct investment route. I have now bootstrapped a single food truck, and we are looking forward to launch it next month. Can such kind of business setup qualify me for O1 instead ? At my day job, I am a software manager in FAANG.

O1 requires you have considerable outstanding achievements [0], such as widely recognized international rewards, being featured in major publications, scholarly articles, or etc. I don't see how a food truck would help you qualify for any of those. Demanding a high salary, which I assume you do at FAANG, would only tick one box, but to qualify you need to tick at least three.

As applied, although still high, the O-1 requirements are easier than they appear so it's always worth evaluating particularly for the founder of a business. And an O-1 can be for almost any occupation, from a hair colorist to a cancer researcher.

Thanks for explaining, I was not aware of that, that's interesting.

It's surprising to many people what backgrounds/jobs can qualify for O-1 classification so it's not inconceivable that your creation of the food truck business could be a platform to get you an O-1. This would require an O-1 analysis of your qualifications and this business.

yes, agree to the last lines about requesting data under GDPR. I would go further and sue the company collecting data against my knowledge

When will my apple watch support this ?

Context Window is 32k (present in the blog). I suppose number of Params, MOE setup are intentionally not revealed. Numbers on well known benchmarks and comparison with Google and Open AI is also published later in the blog.

Redis Node failover

A caveat there is, proactive dive and save is reserved for high performers who are seen as a flight risk Reactive dive and save is for anybody who can show a competing offer.

Slightly OT, but someone should set-up an (anonymous enough) wiki somewhere with all of this big IT company jargon, would make for interesting reading. Threads like this one, coupled with that Google comic written by an employee that was full of those jargons would make for a good start.
