I switched from Adobe to Affinity and gave it a few months before I switched back. I wasn't a fan of the UI, and some of the tools I use often were missing. I do hope they get there though!
Focus on a niche and become the go to person in that field. In my case, I work specifically with non-profit organizations that focus on Native American/First Nation issues. By narrowing down my target, I have been able to build a profitable network because I have specialized in that specific niche.
Once you have narrowed down your niche, its just a matter of being in the same room as your potential clients. For me, it was attending conferences and networking. But you could also hang out in subreddits, facebook groups, linkedin groups, forums etc if you are an introvert.

I created a startup that solved a problem. We had our first 5 customers before we even had the product completed. We had bootstrapped the project, and were able to break even the first 3 months.
Why did I fail? Co-founder issues, no actual plan put in place, we had an MVP, but we never pivoted to meet the needs of our customers, and we lacked constant communication with our early adopters.
I am continually thinking about relaunching the project, but being a stay at home Dad, and freelance developer has made it hard for me to find a good co-founder. I could potentially launch by myself, but I know that I lack the skills to properly get it in front of my target market.
My specific target niche is First Nation organizations and small businesses in Northern Alberta, Canada. I would prefer to be represented by someone who understands the unique needs of my customers. However, I do see value in your service for someone who works with multiple niches.
