With low energy prices and long, dark winters, Norway may be the worst place on earth for a solar startup. Even so, we have been operating our solar energy platform for 18 months. We have matched hundreds of consumers with installers and funding options. We are now looking to scale the product and expand to new markets.
We work on a range of solutions from software estimation of rooftop installations, through self-service project follow-up, logistics and invoicing to production data logging with custom hardware/software.
Our stack: Python, Django, React, Postgres, Heroku/AWS and Debian
We're looking for more talented junior and senior engineers. It's a bonus if you have design and UX experience or know your way around mobile apps.
If you want to make an impact and join our skilled dev team, apply with your resume to [email protected].

Thinking that something sells itself is an engineer's mistake. I'm an engineer myself, and I have learned through experience that quality is not enough. Selling is important.
You're confusing selling with having a business use. There's a huge difference. The OP doesn't have a business use, therefore no business (pun intended) to sell anything.
I like the honest career advice :) I agree that a tech company should get top talent, but "older top engineers" are often very resistant to change. Say, as JavaScript has gotten more and more important, it might be hard for those who have built careers around specific languages to move on to something else. On the other hand, younger talent are often more open to this kind of change.
A screen capture sounds like a very good idea, as a nice way to visualize. People tend to buy based on emotions, and then rationalize with logic. The screen capture sounds like an appeal to emotions, while "the NASCAR slide" would work as justification.
The "NASCAR slide" can also appeal to emotions, as a form of peer pressure. "Oh I wanna be like the big guys, and the big guys use this, I should do what they do".
You'd be surprised how often competitors (let's say BP and Shell for example) make purchasing decision after discussions at user group events, simply "to keep up with the Jones's".
It may not always be so obvious, so I think this is good advice. It can be hard to understand where everybody comes from, and expressing the upsides in terms that others really understand can be even harder.
Appear.in is quite easy to integrate into a web app as well. Just generate a random link and send users off to chat: blog.iterate.no/2014/01/29/youtube-for-webrtc/
