The pseudo popup ads in this page is extremely excessive it’s outright unusable

My bad. Xcancel is no longer operational so I tried to find an alternative. With my setup I didn't see any ads so I didn't notice them. Sorry

Opus 4.8 and Fable 5 did the same; they would output random Chinese characters and then say “I made a typo, let me fix it” and it’s just them removing that stay Chinese characters. Haven’t seen this since 5.1 family of models.

I saw it in earlier Claude models, but I haven't seen it for a least 7-8 months.

Huh, same here, that “LOL” response was the exact same thing for me. Pretty weird.

When I expressed my surprise about its casual response, it switched back to the usual formal tone and apologized.

Not sure what to make of this as I don’t consider myself to be in the know when it comes to ML, but could this be training data leakage? Then again, that “LOL” sentence would be such a weird training data.
