I’ve found a similar article with the actual picture, but there they’ve tested bridge posture, effect should be similar I think.. will definitely try it out (been suffering from severe GERD since last year after swallowing a piece of nut and after the endoscopy, maybe they’ve also taken too much material for the biopsy)
Used JetBrains for more than 10 years, but got tired of it lagging all the time and using so much memory (even on M1 Pro with 32GB RAM, even on small projects). So I switched to VSCode for everything except Java. And I’m not a person who is easily annoyed I would say.
They seem to have fixed a lot of the weird lags recently. Right click context menu used to be slow, and the python debugger had performance issues for sure up to a year or so ago. Both way better now
I’ve recently got a loan (~35k) with the idea of using that money for marketing once I’ll be done with development. It kind of works the same way - I’ll either launch the product and pay it off early (paying just 3% of the amount in this case) or keep paying 9% interest rate for 6 years. An important difference is that this money can actually work for me, when I’ll launch the product which provides positive motivation for me.
It varies a lot from child to child and a lot depends on the environment. Our 5yo son, for example, finally starts speaking in 2+ words sentences and counts up to 20 after two years of therapy. Before we started the therapy we didn't think he could ever get even to this point.
That is tough. My mom was a speech language pathologist and I grew up around kids in therapy (and had fun learning sign with the deaf kids). I hope his progress is rewarding now that you can see some results. Going through it, for me, is so hard to appreciate the small improvements. I can only image two full years. I hope you continue to see progress!
That’s great to hear. Believe it or not, visual impairment usually leads to delay in speech and other development, so I get a sense of where you’re coming from. All the best to you guys.
I'm seeing about 15% slower raw speed than the bare drive, dd if=/dev/zero of=tmp bs=1M count=512 is giving me between 68 and 250 mb/sec on a 2013 MBA with a nearly full disk, where in the terminal I'm getting between 78mb/s and 290mb/s.
