Great idea especially with a lot of people staying home in light of COVID-19. I've been considering ways to stay connected with friends and family now that I'm spending more time alone.

I've been considering doing regular Google Hangouts with open invites to make hanging out feel more spontaneous.

So far this has been an interesting experiment for me. I've found that it's helped me do a better job of reflecting on small mistakes that ordinarily I wouldn't have given as much thought to.

I'm curious about other habits people have developed to get better at what they do.

Out of curiosity, who do you bank with?

Chase. Of the nationals, and local credit unions, they offer the best SMB products, and seem to have the most access/knowledge of navigating available SBA programs to help us.

Cool interface. Well done.

Where are you guys getting your data from? How fresh is your data?

Thanks! We buy it from various data providers. News are almost realtime and financial data is updated daily starting 5pm (NYT time).

I found this post super helpful. For anyone doing rails development, I wrote a gem to make this really simple. I'd love feedback.

I've been doing my best to teach non-technical friends how to start scripting. This'll be a great resource. Thanks for sharing.

True. For me, that makes the learning go by faster. Starting from scratch when I know nothing takes more mental energy. Using this game, it was easier for me to get more reps, meaning I learned names and faces quicker.

I made this to help with onboarding. It's hard when you're new and don't know anyone and they all know your name.

Nice. It's quite effective and fun to learn people's names.

This is thorough and well done.

I'm curious why/how Instacart uses both python and ruby for their logistics. Seems like they could just use one.

in the article it mentions how they use python to generate logistics plans, and ruby to serve it to the admin

see/ctrl+f:

> B: The data science is what's all in Python, and the application infrastructure is still Ruby.
