What moat? Claude refuses to work on more than half of my projects, and usually gets itself flagged by reading text files that Claude itself wrote less than a month ago.

And often, not even then.

Well yeah, it depends on what social class you live in.

That's not true, copy and paste hasn't fully atrophied for most people yet.

> Humans have been well and truly figured out

[citation needed]

Citation not required; the premise is not required to be true because the conclusion is independently verifiable (albeit overstated): "we’ve built an ecosystem for ourselves that is predatory to every single one of our desires and weaknesses"

But I'm not sure the attention economy is different in this respect from civilization's traditional franchises: the hope and protection rackets run by religion, governments, militaries, businesses, etc. We've been trading beer for labor in the oldest recorded history and probably before. But how would understanding that help?

So: not "citation needed", but back to TFA: can {proposal-x} help liberate people from predation (and self-destruction)? It's fruitless to wish there were no predatory human systems or realize everyone's out to get you; the question is how to cope.

The commenter is suggesting that counter-programming might not be the answer to programming. I would go on to suggest deprogramming, reducing the reactivity of any reward system, and then targeting the deepest values. Traditionally this is occasioned by failure (as a lesson) or getting old (heeding the older wise elders), or breaking the ego (in recovery, severe trauma (war, moral injury), etc.) so it's mostly a no-go zone, but in rare cases of excellent therapy or practice or great relationships one can make progress.

Tracking systems (joyful or otherwise) I think help not in the day-to-day reward hacking (any drug results in resistance) but to give a concrete picture of the value of time and habit: when I well and truly realize how little I do actually contributes to my/y/our future, I am motivated to really look backwards from the future.

Fascinating, thanks!

please don't jinx it

Yeah, isn’t that Claude Codes sandbox? That drops and every npm install it taking over the world, lol.

No, it is sandboxed by Bubblewrap on Linux and Seatbelt on Mac

FWIW you can just about always pick them up will-call. Ticketmaster will tell you this is impossible, but the venue always has a way around it, for in case you lose/drop your phone, etc. And it helps reinforce to the venue that ticketmaster is not perfect.

Call the venue directly to verify ahead of time.

How expensive are GLP-1s again?

I self pay for one from lilly-direct for about $200/mo. Insurance doesn't cover any part of it yet. It required a prescription from my doc and it comes in the mail.

Only 200$? That’s way less than they charge me!

I’m paying 300/m out of pocket. Really wish my insurance covered it. It’s had a massively positive impact on life.

Depends on how much assurance you need that you're actually injecting what you think you’re injecting.

If you’re okay with just being probably sure, the price is a lot lower.

Yup, plus my GLP-1 dealer promises that if it kills me, I won’t have to pay. Really no downside.

AU$140 (~US$100) per 4mg, which is approx one month, here.

AU$25 (~US$18), or AU$7.70 (~US$5.50) with a concession card if you qualify for subsidy.

If you're in Australia it's worth a chat with your GP rather than less regulated channels.

How technical do you want to get?

The grey-market price from China, is about $100 for 10 x (30mg/mL, 10mL) vials of Tirzepatide. Semaglutide is cheaper.

At the highest dose of 15mg/wk, that's 20 weeks for $100.

Are you sure that it is not 30mg total per vial, with $100 being the price for 10 vials? Because this stuff comes in powder form, not in liquid form, so mg/mL is an odd unit of measurement. Perhaps I misunderstand your comment.

It's 30mg per vial. In addition to that being the going rate for 300mg total...the calculations and final price for 20 weeks match up to 300mg total, not 300mg per vial.

For example?

> GLP-1 receptor agonist medications typically cost between $149 and $350 per month for cash-pay oral pills, and $900 to $1,400+ per month for list-price injectables without insurance.

I don't know that anyone really pays list price for injectables, because the vendors do discount programs. Without insurance coverage, tirzepetide via Amazon Pharmacy is something like $450/mo.

Yeah this is what I pay for Zepbound through LillyDirect. I also eat less food and drink less alcohol than I used to. So the net loss is probably smaller, maybe $200/mo

Canada has generic semiglutide for under/around $300/mo depending on pharmacy

More like CAD$90 for a 4mg pen

I think you're right I confused wegovy prices with generics. Thank you for clarifying. I'm new to it and will find out about pricing very soon - my provider dropped covering the medication (the day I submitted for pre-approval) -because it worked so well it became popular :P

I’m just a customer. But Peptaura.com has GLPs 1-3 fr a few dollars a month

Here in Canada, a generic semaglutide injection is $104(CAD) / month

I pay $450 a month out of pocket and that is with a coupon, it used to be $1200 a month. It's worth it to me, it's life-changing. My bp went down from dangerous levels to normal.

As low as $69/month through the compounding pharmacies.

Which pharmacy is that?
