Those are 2x4 studs, so R13, shoving thicker insulation in doesn't change much.

True. Depending on how heavily they compressed it to fit between those studs it will likely be less than R13. No matter whether you use fiberglass or rockwool, you should make sure you buy insulation sized to the depth of the cavity it will insulate. Then use an insulation knife to cut in for obstacles within the cavities.

Theres a baseline cost for work to be done, the OP decided to build an 8x10, but easily could cost a similar amount or a few thousand more for a shed 4x larger.

HVAC techs are in such high demand, they can charge exorbitant rates to install/service, that its not in their interest to service them, or even install them.

It took me a while to find a company to install a mini split I purchased on my own, and I paid $$ for labor. This was only because I didn't have the time.

That said, mini splits are so cheap (sub $500) that its easier to just purchase a new one than repair.

It might be annoying if you already know the content. Frame it for the least common denominator (pun intended) - the person who has the time and needs the repetition to pick up a concept.

"Someone unlocked this story for you. Log in to read for free."

WTF NYT?

Works, thanks... the OP gave a free but login-required link.

Current administration has gutted the EPA, which means no one cares about going the cheap route and running data centers off fossil fuels and water.

I hate being a broken record, but batteries are $100/kWh now, sometimes less. Don't buy proprietary. You can get a 3kW inverter and 5kWh of battery for ~800 USD. Want more storage or output? Just add batteries or swap out the inverter.

I normally don't comment on AI articles, but the TLDR was so obviously AI and a huge turnoff that I closed the tab.

Maybe not "fun", but people have preferences, not necessarily rational, in the choices they make. Programming languages, technologies, and even fonts.

Some languages are more enjoyable to use than others. I'm sure there are features/syntax/constructs in languages that you irrationally don't like.

It barely has enough power to render PDFs, I'm not sure what general purpose use you could get out of it.

The limitation is the whole point, it does pen input very well.

I do 't mean playing video games but lots of things could be done within the power range of the device.

For example be able to use the ssh access or synchronization web app from wifi, be able to use basic web page, synchronize with your own server like ftp server, ... All that kind of things not very complicated or requiring power. And I'm not even asking for the work/app to be done by remarkable but that the interface to do that is available.

A few things could be done by connecting in ssh and replacing the xserver but it is extremely clunky and could easy make your expensive tablet a brick. But it shows the kind of things that would be nice to be done with it.

I guess that a simple code editor/visualiser could easily be done.

I posted in a comment above that I (well Codex) was able to get full Chromium running on it. It’s not fast by any means but is usable if you just want to read a web page on e-ink… so it’s not crazy underpowered
